Image of No Dream – is a project developed together with Yudi Ahmad Tajudin at ‘The Fifth Season’; an artists-in-residence program at the psychiatric clinic Altrecht in the Netherlands. During this working period we ‘caught’ the shadows of the inhabitants of the clinic and collected their different interpretations of the meanings of shadows. “A Shadow is like your companion or guard, somebody who joins you when you are allowed to walk outside. You bear your shadow as you bear a burden. Your shadow is your second/multiple self. Your shadow is the you that can be put aside.” We created a multi media 10 minutes performance in collaboration with the clients.
