This work is part of a series that relates to the notion of time. ‘Potong Waktu’ or ‘Slicing Time’ concerns our experience of time including our memory of time. We only remember the outstanding moments in time;  the extremes; the best and the worst, which then creates our notion of time. This also relates to how we perceive history; extreme moments in time are often remembered certainly and often black and white simplicity. I used the scissors as a symbol of a sharp cut, slicing time into parts. Each cut or slice represents a moment in time.
